Emergency Shutdown

The stand-alone Accumulator Rack contains one or more bladder accumulators that secure emergency power precautions. The functions are either as ESD (Emergency shutdown) support, meaning that the accumulator can be used to maintain enough system pressure to operate important valves, or as System-Service Support by running simultaneously with the Hydraulic Power Unit.

The accumulator rack is a part of the Valve Remote Control System, especially recommended for LNG carriers.
